The smallest consistent social setup that keeps you findable without a full-time content job.

Minimum Viable Presence

Minimum viable presence (MVP) is the smallest profile and posting rhythm that keeps you discoverable and credible. Not impressive — sufficient.

MVP profile (all platforms)

  • Recognizable photo (face or logo — not both fighting on a personal brand account)
  • Name field: real name or brand people would search
  • Bio: who you help + what you do + one action (in that order)
  • One link, tested on mobile, loads in under 3 seconds
  • Pinned or featured content: your best proof or explainer
  • Contact path obvious (DM open, email in bio, or link to form)

MVP content

Element
Minimum
Platforms1 (2 if audiences truly differ)
Posts per week1–2
Formats1 primary (text, carousel, or short video)
Pillars3 themes you rotate
Engagement10 min/week replying in your niche

MVP time budget

60 minutes per week total:
  • 20 min — draft or polish one post
  • 15 min — schedule or publish second light post (reshare, proof screenshot, short tip)
  • 15 min — reply to comments and 3 relevant posts by others
  • 10 min — profile/link sanity check
If you only have 30 minutes, cut the second post — never cut the profile.

MVP quality bar

A post is "good enough" when it:
  • States one clear idea
  • Includes one proof point (example, number, screenshot, client type)
  • Ends with a soft CTA (question, invite to DM, link in comments if platform allows)
It does not need cinematic production.

What to defer until after 4 consistent weeks

  • New platform expansion
  • Rebrand or template overhaul
  • Paid ads
  • Daily stories
  • Podcast or newsletter launch driven purely by guilt

MVP launch checklist (do this once)

  • Choose platform using Choose Your Platforms
  • Run Profile Checklist
  • Write three pillars in Messaging Worksheet
  • Draft four posts from one pillar (batch)
  • Schedule three weeks using Weekly Rhythm
MVP means you can disappear for a week without looking abandoned — because your profile still converts.
